ME? Well, My name is Yvonne and I am a SAHM to FOUR beautiful, energetic, wild, lovable, crazy and amazing children. I am married to my best friend and the Love of my life. And I have a creative side that needed an outlet so I started this blog to share my creations with all of you. One day my oldest daughter, all of 6 years old, looked at me while I was crafting and said "you sure are One Creative Momma" and the name for my blog was born.

Patchwork twirl skirt

My how time flies!
My baby girl turned 8 years old over the weekend - How did that happen?

To make this occasion special I told her I would make her something to wear on her big day.  I decided to try my hand at making a twirl skirt. I started out searching Pinterest and other sites online and after mixing about 3 tutorials I came up with the following skirt. Pirate Princesses are the in thing with girls her age so I went with that theme but made it very girly.

I picked out 5 different fabrics and sewed them together to create the main body.

I then added a hem and drop waist to get the length I needed it.

My daughter LOVED her skirt and can't wait for me to make more for her and her sister.

Thank you for stopping by - I hope you have a great day!
