ME? Well, My name is Yvonne and I am a SAHM to FOUR beautiful, energetic, wild, lovable, crazy and amazing children. I am married to my best friend and the Love of my life. And I have a creative side that needed an outlet so I started this blog to share my creations with all of you. One day my oldest daughter, all of 6 years old, looked at me while I was crafting and said "you sure are One Creative Momma" and the name for my blog was born.

Teachers are Brilliant!

Hello my creative friends! Can you believe how fast this year is flying by? It's almost the middle of April and soon enough school will be out and Summer will be here! There's a lot to be done before the school year ends and making sure we appreciate our teachers on May 6th is one of them.

This year I wanted to let each teacher know why they are special with these cards. My children want to write messages to all their teachers and these cards will be fun for them to hand out on Teacher Appreciation Day.

Project Recipe:
My Creative Times' Dies and Sentiment
Craft, black and red cardstock
School patterned paper
Ribbon paperclip embellishment
Alphabet embossing folder

The kids will have fun showing their teachers how this element works.

Well, there's a lot more of these cards to make so I better get to work.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Disney fun!

Hello my creative friends! Today I've created a project for the Action Wobble blog just for my Girl Scout Brownies. Cookie sales ended March 16th and to reward the girls for all their hard work we took a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.  We attended a class at Disney's California Adventure theme park on Designing a Disney Character and spent the rest of the day at both Disneyland Resort parks.

With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to present the girls with this adorable goodie bag at our next meeting. Inside I have a special Disney pin to remember our trip, their next Journey patch and a skill building patch they earned this month.

The adorable Minnie Mouse wobbles to and fro adding just the perfect amount of action to this fun bag of goodies.

Project Recipe:
Mickey - Cricut image cut at 2 3/4"
large polka dot embossing folder
red grosgrain ribbon
My Creative Time - Stitched Oval die and "Congratulations" sentiment
Trendy Twine - Celebration twine
4X6" card stock topper
4x6" cello bag

My girls have been working hard all year on the World of Girls journey and other skill building patches and I LOVE to create these kind of rewards for them. I hope they enjoy receiving these as much I did making them.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Luck of the Irish

Hello my crafty friends!
What a busy time of year this is for our family. We are almost done selling Girl Scout cookies, ending the second trimester at school, finishing DIY projects around the house and making plans for our Spring Break! But before any of that can happen I need a little bit of the Luck of the Irish on my side.

Today I've created a project for St Patrick's Day that could be given out as class treats, Teacher gifts or to your children. These sour cream container treats are super easy to make and when you add an Action wobble to them they are also really fun!

Recipe:
Vellum paper 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

I hope you enjoyed my project and are inspired to make something fun this St Patrick's Day!
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!!!

This weekend the Action Wobble design team will be featuring Art Impressions stamps that were made with Action Wobbles in mind. This project pushed me passed my usual comfort zone into a world of image coloring. Don't get me wrong I can color in a book with crayons with the best of my kiddos but image coloring like the professionals truly intimidated me. These Shake Your Booty stamps are fun so I took the challenge and ran with it and love the end result.

For my project I was given THE DANCER stamp set from Art Impressions.

Isn't she a riot?! She reminds me of that Great Aunt everyone has who gets on the dance floor at weddings and dances until the last dance. HA!

So here she is in all her glory!

Well, I stamped her image on a peachy colored paper, colored her with Marvy markers and colored pencils, I fussy cut her dress from patterned paper and layered her on top of an embossed music note paper, a tag and a label. The chevron ribbon and Aqua Trendy Twine seemed to match perfectly with the flower embellishment so they were added as well.

The inside of this card is rocking' the wobble making this lady's booty shake!
Someone will certainly smile when they receive this card!

Now who wants some blog candy?
Leave me a comment and follow my blog for a chance to win a 6 pack of Wobbles!

So Many Valentines!

Hello Friends!
What a week this has been! I have been swamped with Room Parent duties, Girl Scout meetings, and selling Girl Scout cookies with my daughters. I was also challenged to keep my 2 year old in his crib since he learned how to climb out and making valentines for 3 of my children their friends, teachers and my Girl Scout Troop. 94 Valentines to be exact!!! I succeeded in making the Valentines but not so much in keeping my son in his crib. HAHA

Today I'm sharing a project on the Action Wobble Blog. My almost 10 year old asked me to create something with a Mustache on it. So after a little brainstorming we decided this was perfect for her friends. I added an action wobble to the Mustache to add a little movement and my daughter LOVED them.

When you are making valentines for kids its best to keep them simple
and cost effective and that's what these are.
Super Cute, Super Fun and they didn't break the bank.

My 8 year old daughter wanted Minions and with the help of Pinterest we made these fun valentines!

My 5 year old son handed out these M&Ms Valentines...

And he gave this Valentine to his 8th Grade Buddy!

I made these boxes for my Brownie Girl Scout Troop
and filled them with Candy Bracelets.

And lastly, the Teachers and Staff at school received one of the following treats.

Well, If you've made it this far THANK YOU!
It was fun making all these Valentines but now I need a nap!

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day with those you LOVE.

Especially For You!

Where did January go? Seriously! I rang in the new year with my kiddos, blinked a couple times and here it is the end of the month and ALMOST Valentine's Day!!! I have a feeling this year is just going to fly by so I better get with it and start planning all the Valentine's that need to be made!

Today, I wanted to share with you a project that you can make for those special people in your world that could use a picture of your kids, grandkids or those adorable Fur babies everyone seems to have.

To make this project I used a Michaels wooden picture frame, covered it in Red cardstock, outlined it in Berry Trendy Twine, then layered paper and metal hearts all around and Finished it off with a Big heart on an Action Wobble. The face stamp is one of the Wide Eyed Kids from Peachy Keen Stamps and the sentiment is from My Creative Time.

I love that this little heart wobbles to and fro!

This project is being featured on Action Wobbles Blog today and I would love it if you stopped by to see all the projects my fellow design team members create using these fun wobble accents.

Well, I better sign off for now as I have 70 valentine's to make for my children's classmates. Anyone want to help?  Thank you so much for stopping by my blog I appreciate and enjoy reading your comments and I hope you all have a great day.

Turning 2 Is Hard Work!

The party planning and construction is done! My little boy turned 2 years old on Monday and I am amazed at how quickly this last year has gone. Since we were out of town just days before his party I couldn't do everything I wanted to do; but nonetheless, his party was perfect and he had a blast!

Today I'm guest designing again on Trendy Twine's blog and have a super cute yet easy project to share with you. Every construction worker needs his/her tools, so I made these for everyone at the party.

A bundle of yellow and white silverware wrapped in black and orange napkins and tied with matching Trendy Twine in Bumblebee and Halloween colors.  And don't you just LOVE the "DIG IN!" tag, so glad I had it in my favorite stamp collection.

Now, filling a dump truck full of these little beauties proved to be a bad idea as they slid right out and ended up all over the place. So I went with plan "B" and stuffed them inside a Stanley tool box. If you look closely behind my little man you can see a few still hanging out there.

An afternoon of building your own burgers and then building your own sundaes was so much fun but follow that with a HUGE bag of legos and a John Deere truck and this little 2 year old was in heaven.

Well, there's no rest for the wicked, or the crafty mom, as another birthday is approaching and I only have a week to get that one planned and constructed!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed the month long posts of construction party projects. I'll be back in a week with another project or two, Until then, Don't forget to stop by the Trendy Twine Shop HERE and get some of this wonderful Twine!!!

Thank you Lesley for having me as a Guest Designer this month!

You Totally Rock!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I'm excited to be guest designing over on the Trendy Twine Blog.

As some of you know, I'm in the middle of construction - planning my son's 2nd birthday and this week I'm working on the party favors. Now it wouldn't be one of our parties if I didn't have a handmade favor to give to all of our guests.

This adorable dump truck was cut from the Boys Will Be Boys Cricut cartridge using my Gypsy. I then added a Stampin' Up treat cup and filled it with Orange, Brown and Yellow M&Ms.  After stamping the "YOU ROCK!" sentiment from My Creative Time's stamp collection, I added Trendy Twine's  Bumblebee and Orange Licorice twine.
The colors are perfect for the Construction theme!!!

Who wouldn't love to get this Super Cute favor?!?!?

Now if you don't have any Trendy Twine yet I suggest you visit the shop HERE to get some of this twine for yourself and make sure you check out all the other goodies available!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog and
I hope you have a great weekend!

CAN YOU DIG IT?

Hello My Creative Friends, I hope you all had a very Happy New Year!
Did you spend it with family and friends? At home or at a party away? How about resolutions... Did you make any and are you going to keep them?
I always vow to get healthy, eat right, spend more time with the family
and Craft more often then I did last year!!!

To help keep the last of my resolutions, I have some help on my side.
I'm one of the newest Designers for Action Wobble Springs and will be showcasing a project on the Action Wobble blog at least twice a month.

For my first project with Action Wobble I thought I'd share with you the process I go through when I'm creating. Whether its a card, a gift or a birthday invitation for one of my kids I usually go through the same process.

First, I sketch out some ideas -
this just happens to be an idea of my son's birthday invitation.

Then I pull out all my supplies and I get the creativity flowing, some things work and some don't but that's what makes all this so much fun.

Taking your original idea, transferring it into something tangible...

And creating something really fun!

On this Invitation I used:
Boys will be Boys - Dump Truck die cut
Brick wall embossing folder
Brads with screw heads
The Caution sign is a free online clip art
And to make the Dump Truck move I used an Action Wobble!

I'm not sure who's more excited about this party... ME or the Almost 2 year old we're throwing the party for!!! Well, That's my first project for 2014 and I hope you enjoyed learning more about my thought process and the creativity I put into each and every step.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I hope you visit again soon!
