ME? Well, My name is Yvonne and I am a SAHM to FOUR beautiful, energetic, wild, lovable, crazy and amazing children. I am married to my best friend and the Love of my life. And I have a creative side that needed an outlet so I started this blog to share my creations with all of you. One day my oldest daughter, all of 6 years old, looked at me while I was crafting and said "you sure are One Creative Momma" and the name for my blog was born.

On your mark, Get set, PARTY!!!

A Race Car Birthday Party!

I made these fun CARS inspired birthday invitations for my son's 3rd birthday. Like most little boys, he's obsessed with race cars and had to watch Lightning McQueen at least 3 times a day for the last month. Just wait until he sees CARS 2 this summer on the big screen.

Rev'em up and Shift into gear,
Dean's 3rd birthday is almost here!!!

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Bug Me Anytime!

Emma at My Creative Time has challenged us this week to create a project using the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge and the color blue. I have been stumped since Thursday and only just came up with an idea that uses all the requirements as well as a stamp from one of Emma's new sets.

I started by cutting out these adorable bugs, the ladybug at 1 3/4" and the beetle at 2 3/4".  The leaves were cut from the Cake Basics Cricut cartridge at 1 1/4". Each layer for the card measures as follows: Green layer 5 1/2"x 4 1/4", Black layer 5"x 3 3/4" and the Yellow layer is the actual card section measuring 9 1/2" x 3 1/2" then folded in half.

The stamp "Bug Me Anytime" is from Emma's My Favorite Sayings set and the bugs are attached to the card with Action Wobbles which makes them wiggle.

I love how this card turned out and so does my almost 3 year old son. He's been running over to the table where it sits so that he can flick the bugs and make them wiggle and wobble.  I hope you enjoyed my project, Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Masking

This weeks challenge had me doing a lot of research online. Masking? I had never heard of it but then again I've only been making cards for a year now. Well, Masking is a technique used to create a design by voiding part of a stamp or image and only using parts to create a new picture, scene, creation.

To make my card I started with Sleeping Beauty, then I used a sentiment frame that had lines for journaling in the center. I covered the lines and stamped this image next. After that layer was dry I then stamped the all over flower border. Not sure if I really nailed the masking technique but it was fun to try.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Pink By Design - Flower Background,
CTMH - Sentiment Frame, EK Success Disney Princess

Teacher Appreciation Day!

For Those Who Teach!

Yesterday around 2am, I returned home from the beautiful island of Oahu. My husband and I were fortunate to be able to sneak away sans kids to spend 6 days and 5 nights in paradise for our Anniversary. It was Fun, Beautiful and Extremely Relaxing.

Having had a busy week preparing the kids to stay with family and for the Hubby and I to leave on vacation, I completely forgot to execute my projects for Teacher Appreciation Day. So last night I stayed up until 2am - thankfully it was only 11pm Island Time - and made these altered notepads for my girls teachers.

Our school doesn't really celebrate the National Appreciation week but I always try to do something during this time of the year, a little something to remind them that they are very special.

Here are the Notepads:

Recipe:
6x9 notepad from Dollar Tree
Stamps: My Creative Time - "My Teacher Rocks"
Scrapbook paper from the Target $1 section
Recollections craft, red and green cardstock
Ink: CTMH Cover Meadow &
SU Chocolate Chip & Cherry Cobbler
Cricut cuts - 2" Apple from Paisley
3 1/4" Basket from Doodlecharms
White Gel Pen and Ribbon
Small Sales tags

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you remember to thank a teacher this week.
