Summer Time!

Hello Crafty Friends! today I would like to share with you my entry for the My Pink Stamper design team. Robyn has openings for her upcoming 2011 2 Term My Pink Stamper Design Team! All you need to do is add a project for this challenge by TODAY, July 20 11:59 pm CST to her Blog HERE. She will be choosing a handful of Bloggers/Crafters to serve 6 months on her upcoming team!

Here are the requirements....
*You will need to have a blog that you regularly post on for at least 3 months.

*Your project must be made just for this challenge
*Post a pic on your blog with a full recipe along with what the challenge is about
*This needs to be a new project that you make just for this challenge
*Only one entry per person, please

Challenge: Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite Cricut cartridge using the following colors......
Orange
Turquoise
Green
Brown
(other optional color of your choice)

Here is the project I created especially for this Design Team Challenge!

Design Team Announcement!!!

Celebrate The Occasion!

I am so excited to announce that I have been selected to be a designer for Celebrate The Occasion.

To be considered for the design team we were asked to create a birthday themed project. I decided to create the following card using a Pinata and the sentiment "Feliz Cumpleanos".

I also used an Action Wobble behind the pinata to make the card more realistic.

A Card for Marley Moore

Hello Everyone, I wanted to share with you a project I decided to work on for a 16 year old girl.

Her name is Madison and she has started the

For the month of July, Madison is asking card makers to make cards for Marley Moore (right end) and her family.

Mia - Sister, Brent - Dad, Nikki - Mom and Marley Moore :)

On Friday, August 7, 2009, Marley was taken to the hospital due to concerns from her family as well as their family physician. A CT scan found a tumor (pilocytic astrocytoma), about the size of a lemon, located on her brain. Marley was immediately rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City where the doctors went to work...they began to drain fluid from her brain to release the pressure that had been causing her immense pain for weeks prior.

The tumor was located around/near the optic nerve, the brain stem, and the pituatary gland. Because it was near several very sensitive areas of the brain, the doctor's scheduled a surgery to remove as much of the tumor as they possibly could. That surgery took place on Monday, August 10, 2009. The surgeon was able to remove a larger portion than he had originally thought, but that evening, as a result of trauma to the brain from surgery, Marley suffered a stroke, leaving her right side paralyzed. You can follow the rest of her story through our journal updates. Please visit Funkycards.blogspot.com

Caring Bridge Journal Entry: "Marley is a little angel. She is beautiful, strong, little girl, and she's well on her way to fighting through this. We believe in the mighty God... one that is with her every step of the way."

Here is how you can help. Each crafter can submit one card by July 31st to:

Madison Womack
(IFTL) Funky Cards
P.O. Box 1203
Atascadero, Ca 93423

Here is the card I made for Marley and I hope to make a few more for each of her family members:

Card Recipe:

Paper: Yellow shimmer and Blue textured cardstock
Red, Yellow, Black, White and Craft cardstock
Stamps: Peachy Keen Faces and Hero Arts Sentiment
Create a Critter cartridge for Bees and Hive
Action Wobble on the hive
Red Grosgrain ribbon
White gel pen and Glossy Accents

Please watch the video below to see how the Action Wobble brings this card to life.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope Miss Marley is having a Beautiful Day!

Two Seasons

I saw this challenge a few weeks ago and thought I'd give it a try. Making a card that was identical in it's design but different in color to see if I could create the feeling of a season. My first card is a Spring time card, created with Purples and Greens and the second card is for Fall using Rust, Orange and Cream colors.

Let me know what you think... Do they feel like the season I created them for?
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Christmas In July

Pink By Design Challenge #6

Here is my entry for the Pink By Design Community challenge for this week. We were asked to create a Christmas in July Project and last year when I saw these cards all over the internet I knew I had to try one. It took me a while to locate the Martha Stewart branch punch and I eventually did.  I love how this turned out but the picture doesn't even come close to doing it justice. Some of the branch sparkle throughout the wreath which adds to the wintery feel. I can't wait to make more!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

P.S. I also entered this Card into the following challenges

Pink By Design Ustream Project

Treat bags!

this was the super cute project shown live on Pink by Designs Ustream tonight. A very cute and easy to make treat bag that uses 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock and a score board. After folding it up all you have to do is add embellishments and you're done!

I decided to decorate mine in a western theme using the Create a Critter cartridge. I'll be making a bunch of Girly versions of these for an upcoming birthday. Should be very fun especially when filled with Root Beer Barrel candies! YUMMY!

I hope you enjoyed my project and if you want direction check out the recorded ustream on Pink by Designs page. http://www.pinkbydesignstamps.com/

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Birthday Cards!

What a Month!

June and the beginning of July are full of birthday for our family.  So I've been very busy making masculine and feminine cards.

If anyone has a trick for drying the SU Whisper White ink - I would appreciate it. I let my banner sentiment dry overnight and it was still wet the next day!!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!
