ME? Well, My name is Yvonne and I am a SAHM to FOUR beautiful, energetic, wild, lovable, crazy and amazing children. I am married to my best friend and the Love of my life. And I have a creative side that needed an outlet so I started this blog to share my creations with all of you. One day my oldest daughter, all of 6 years old, looked at me while I was crafting and said "you sure are One Creative Momma" and the name for my blog was born.

Sewing project #3 - Kids on the go!

Crayon Tote Bags

I have 3 little children and keeping them entertained while out and about is always a challenge.

As a gift one year my girls received crayon tote bags and I couldn't wait to duplicate them. With a little trial and error I was able to create my own pattern.

The tote bag measures 12" x 10" with 9" drop handles and can hold a couple coloring books & 16 - 24 crayons, depending on their size.

Recipe:

3 coordinating fabrics
(4) 12 1/2" x 10 1/2" rectangles from 2 fabrics for tote body and lining
Remaining fabric cut (2) 20" x 3" for handles
(2) 6" x 10 1/2" for Crayon pockets
Fusible Feece and thread

Take them to a restaurant, in the car, to a play date, on an airplane and even to the mall.

Take them anywhere!

Scrapbook Pages

Family Pages

It has been forever since I have made scrapbook pages for my family. I am on a mission to start and complete my children's baby books and then create pages of everyday life and Holidays.

Today I was inspired by the beautiful sunshine and created this page with pictures of my girls when they were smaller.
I hope you enjoy these "Sunny Days" from our past.

Another Steal!

Clearance Aisle

Every time I'm in Michael's or Joann's I stroll down the clearance aisles to see what goodies they may have for my many hobbies. I can't do these hobbies without getting a deal for all of my supplies so when I stumbled upon these finds you'll know why I just had to get them.

Most of the items pictured were found in the clearance section minus the wooden letter "G" and the Got Flowers paper flowers bottle. I used a coupon to get the letter at half price and the flowers were on sale for $2.99. If I were to have purchased everything at full price I would have paid $60+; however, I only paid $19.32 for everything, including tax!!!

So if you love to craft don't forget to check the clearance aisles because you never know what deals you'll find! :o)

Handmade Bows

My girls love to wear their hair in ponytails, braids and curls with headbands and bows.

I knew I could find instructions online so I searched until I found easy bow making instructions and started making bows in all colors.

Here are the instructions I found:
http://www.girlythingsbows.com/pinwheel_bow.html

You can use just about any ribbon and clip you want to suit your childs hair.

I use 1 1/2" - 2" wire edge ribbon and 1/2" - 1" grosgrain, then I embellish with buttons, pearls, ribbon animals and flowers & attach each bow to either a french clip or an alligator clip.

Happy Critters

Create a Critter
Cricut Cartridge
(That's a mouthful)

I couldn't wait to make something with this cartridge so I went right to work and made these Happy Birthday kid cards.

My Daughter picked the Zebra out for her friend who's having a birthday tomorrow. We added a pink flower and rhinestone to make it girly and coordinated the "Happy Birthday" to match the pattern paper. Super cute and Fun to make.

I couldn't resist making this next card with a huge chunk of swiss cheese on the front. I love swiss cheese and thought the mouse was ADORABLE!

Homemade Cards

How much do you spend on Birthday and Special Occasion cards?

My Mother in law mentioned to me a couple months ago that she spent $35 on 5 cards. REALLY!!??
So I started making my own cards for Mother's day, Father's day and Birthdays because I refuse to pay $5, $6 or even $7.95 per card. By making my own cards I can get as creative and personal as I want and not have to settle for a cute card with the wrong saying or the perfect card at a high price.

Card kits can be found at Michael's or Joann's at a great price and if you use a coupon they're a steal. Add a few embellishments, a stamp, a sentiment and/or a personal message and you're done!

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridge:
From My Kitchen
8 1/2 x 11 Card Stock
& printed paper
White Grosgrain Ribbon
Got Flowers:
Iced Yellow and a Brad
Rhinestones

Happy Birthday Stamp

Sweets!

Cookie/Sweet Exchange

Do you like to bake? Do you enjoy eating homemade baked goodies?

I absolutely LOVE to bake so I thought it fitting to create a card/invitation with a baking theme. This card would be perfect for a cookie exchange at the holidays, a summer recipe swap or to give that special someone who's on the receiving end of that freshly baked apple pie.

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridge:
From my Kitchen
Cardstock & printed papers
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 - A2 size card

I always add Chocolate chips to my brownies because that's how I have always made them for my husband so why stop a good thing. I also bake them at 325* in a dark non-stick pan for 28 mins. Perfectly moist chocolatey Brownies.

Sewing Project #2

Hawaiian Pillowcase Dress

This dress was made with Cotton poly fabric that I purchased at the Honolulu fabric mart. I love the gathered neckline and satin ribbons.

This dress would be perfect for a 3-6 month old or it could also work as a shirt over jeans for a toddler.

Recipe:
1 yard of fabric
or a cute pillowcase
2 yards of ribbon
coordinating thread
