ME? Well, My name is Yvonne and I am a SAHM to FOUR beautiful, energetic, wild, lovable, crazy and amazing children. I am married to my best friend and the Love of my life. And I have a creative side that needed an outlet so I started this blog to share my creations with all of you. One day my oldest daughter, all of 6 years old, looked at me while I was crafting and said "you sure are One Creative Momma" and the name for my blog was born.

Open House!

Yesterday I was fortunate to get a getaway crafting day and attend a Stampin' Up open house hosted by my Mother in Laws very good friend, Ruth. I didn't know what to expect since I had never attended a SU open house and was pleasantly surprised to find the projects that were planned for us. In total there were 8 stations where you could make 8 wonderful cards. A sample of each card was on display and supplies & directions were there to guide you. I really enjoyed my afternoon making these fabulous cards.

Ruth had the most amazing cards on display as well as other projects that could be made if you signed up for one of her classes. I definitely made notes and plan on attending one as soon as I get another Momma getaway day. Please stop by her website HERE, leave her some Blog love and if you want, order some of her awesome Stampin' Up product.

Craft Organizing

My never ending project...
HOW TO ORGANIZE MY CRAFT SUPPLIES!

My sister, Yvette @ Cre8tivegirls.blogspot.com, told me to check out Scrappily Ever After because they were having an Organizing Boot Camp. The boot camp started long ago but I was inspired to at least try to organize my supplies.

To visit Scrappily Ever After to see what the Boot Camp was all about click HERE.

Here's what I started with at Noon:
The lower section was where I stored all my scrapbooking/paper crafting supplies. This wasn't a productive way to have everything set up though. Unloading almost everything to get to one thing or another.
I used the upper section as storage for many different things.

Here's the hallway cupboards almost completely empty. The cases in the lower right hold my childrens' baby things that are waiting to be scrapbooked and the entire unit is holding up the right side of the shelf above. :) One day I'll fix the shelf but hey, it works for now.

At 2:00pm, This is what I've organized so far; however, I am no where near completion. I'll update you all when I do get a place for everything and Everything in its place. :)

Thank you for Visiting and Please feel free to share your organizing tips. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Sweet as a Gumdrop...

Double Display Card

As I was blog hopping Friday night I came across this amazing card over at Sweet as a Gumdrop. I knew I had to try it as soon as I saw it. Brenda's card is so beautiful so please click on her blog and check it out.

For this project I used my Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge, Heidi Grace Designer paper, AWI Action Wobble, Grosgrain ribbon, rhinestones, Chocolate brown cardstock, CTMH stamp set D1242 Doodle Alphabet and Stampin' up Whisper white ink.

I wanted to use a brown and white pattern paper to go with the Designer paper but I couldn't find one I liked. So, I took out my CTMH stamps and made my own.

This little bird, perched on her little branch is attached with an Action Wobble. The effect is SO CUTE!!! To order Action Wobbles visit their site here.

My Creative Time - Throwback Thursday

For this challenge Emma wanted us to use either the "Paper Doll Dress Up" OR "Everyday Paper Doll" cartridge and the project MUST include either heat or dry embossing on it!

For my project I decided to use the Everyday Paper Doll cartridge to make a A2 size card. I enlarged the hand cuffs from the policeman accessories to 3 1/4" and shadowed it with a 3 1/2" layer. I cut and embossed a tag layer at 3 3/4" and shadowed it with a 4" layer. The hearts are cut at 3/4" and 1 1/4" and the sentiment "Your Heart Belongs to Me" is from My Creative Time's new stamp set:

Mini Magazine Holder

Daisy Inspiration!

During a recent blog hop I stumbled upon Kards by Kadie and this very inspiring project. I thought these mini magazine holders would be a perfect package for a set of cards. Since I've been busy sewing Daisy sashes for my daughters girl scout troop I thought it would be fun to make a coordinating mini mag holder. It turned out pretty good for my first attempt.

What do you think?

MPS's First Blog Hop and Challenge

After following Robyn's blog hop and collecting all the secret key words, I made this card.
I used textured cardstock, Country pattern paper, my Cuttlebug, ribbon and a few pearls but what I love most of all is the Wobble I used to make the stamps jiggle.

“Unloved Unused Supplies”

This weeks challenge was make cards for our heroes to send home to their loved ones using your unloved and unused supplies.

I wanted to use this polka dot and striped paper that I've had FOREVER so I paired it with Prima flowers and aqua & craft colored paper. A few brads, my cuttlebug, some ribbon and a sentiment or 2 and 4 cards are complete. I have an 8x12 sheet of paper left over from the polka dot and striped papers to make more cards; however, I have to get a few chores done before I can continue.

Calling all Cowboys and Cowgirls!

I need your input!

I created this page specifically for pictures I took at the girls school Hoedown. I used characters from the Create a Critter cartridge and divided the background page to break it up a bit.

Here are the cuts I used:
I added grass to the page then stitched around the barn, horses scarf and stars, then added my elements to the page with Scotch craft glue and dimensionals...

I stitched around the heart and place nail heads on the horseshoes, double matted the girls pictures and matted my sons picture...

HOWEVER, here is where I need your help. I would like to add a white gel pen detail to the phrase HOWDY and brown ink details to the rope/lasso but I don't know where the details should go or how much I should add.

Please, leave a comment with your suggestions or if you have photos of this phrase with an ink detail I would love to see it. I appreciate all your input.

THANK YOU and I look forward to hearing from you!
