ME? Well, My name is Yvonne and I am a SAHM to FOUR beautiful, energetic, wild, lovable, crazy and amazing children. I am married to my best friend and the Love of my life. And I have a creative side that needed an outlet so I started this blog to share my creations with all of you. One day my oldest daughter, all of 6 years old, looked at me while I was crafting and said "you sure are One Creative Momma" and the name for my blog was born.

Cre8tiveGirls Blogoversary!!!

Happy First Anniversary Yvette!
DAY 1

Hello Friends and welcome to my Twins First Blogoversary!!! If you've come here from Giselle's blog you are in the right place, if not you can start this hop at my sister's blog HERE
I'm so excited to be celebrating this milestone with her and how fun that we are having a weekend long BLOG HOP!!!! A very talented group of crafters has joined us this weekend and created projects around the theme of FIRSTS. I hope you enjoy this long weekend celebration and the projects we have all created for Yvette!

For todays project I decided to try my hand at using Mod Podge for the very first time. I pick up a very cute acrylic candy holder at Michaels and thought it would look amazing covered in sparkly candies.

Here is how I designed my project using my gypsy, the Celebrations and From my Kitchen Cartridges and my Expression...

then I cute everything out on my Cricut Expression using DCWV Glitter papers.

I then Mod Podged the acrylic candy box, added some ribbon and TA DA!!!
Here is my project in all it's glory...
Not bad for my very first time!

The Mod Podge isn't perfectly clear and hides some of the glitter but I think overall it's a fun project that ANYONE could do.

And how CUTE is that tiny candy scoop! LOVE IT!

I hope you enjoyed my project today ~ now please hop on over to my very creative friend DORIS who is the next stop in the hop today!

And just in case you get lost along the way ~Here is the rest of the line up!

Mini Magazine Holder

Daisy Inspiration!

During a recent blog hop I stumbled upon Kards by Kadie and this very inspiring project. I thought these mini magazine holders would be a perfect package for a set of cards. Since I've been busy sewing Daisy sashes for my daughters girl scout troop I thought it would be fun to make a coordinating mini mag holder. It turned out pretty good for my first attempt.

What do you think?

Thanksgiving Gift idea

Treat Basket

The Cricut Chick has this project listed on her Facebook photo wall which you can see here. I loved the idea and thought it would be really fun to make for Thanksgiving; however, this would be a fun project for any holiday or celebration.

Step 1: Score a 12"x12" piece of cardstock at 4" and 8" on each side. Score the outside corners on the diagonal. Cut 3 3/4" square pieces of patter paper for each section and cut diagonally for each corner. Add embellishments on the 4 solid squares.

Step 2: Punch holes 1/2" from the corner and hammer in a grommet.

Step 3: Run elastic trough the grommets and fasten with a knot.
Step 4: Tie 12 - 7" ribbons around the elastic in the larger open spaces only.
Step 5: Fill with treats and give as a gift or set out for the family to enjoy.

Scrapbook Birthday Page

There is no one like YOU!

My Mother in Law was over the other day to watch my kiddos so I could attended a school meeting and while she was here we created this card. The request was to make an 8 1/2" x 11" card that could be put into a scrapbook for my Mother in Laws dear friend.
We started with the colors, added coordinating flowers, a few rhinstones, some ribbon, a meaningful sentiment and a Rooster, of course. (If you know my Mother in Law you'll understand) It was fun crafting with my Mother in Law and it's something I don't get to do very often. Another day will have to be planned in the near future.

Sweets!

Cookie/Sweet Exchange

Do you like to bake? Do you enjoy eating homemade baked goodies?

I absolutely LOVE to bake so I thought it fitting to create a card/invitation with a baking theme. This card would be perfect for a cookie exchange at the holidays, a summer recipe swap or to give that special someone who's on the receiving end of that freshly baked apple pie.

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridge:
From my Kitchen
Cardstock & printed papers
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 - A2 size card

I always add Chocolate chips to my brownies because that's how I have always made them for my husband so why stop a good thing. I also bake them at 325* in a dark non-stick pan for 28 mins. Perfectly moist chocolatey Brownies.
